I've been in several situations where i had to interact with other people (colleagues, fellow students, etc.), but i never befriended them because i'm literally incapable of understanding social cues. If the person says "hey anon, i need help with this technical thing x", i can say "yeah i can help you out with that, here is how you do this". But if they say "hey anon, yesterday me and my buddies went to this party haha it was great", i'd be like "good for you." or even just ignore it, because i honestly dont know how to socialize
