Not being a cuck for corporations and the bourgeoise =/= being against working hard

It's true, unfortunately I feel like I missed the boat and have don't have any motivation or have much hope for the future.

Corporations rule the world, grow up kid. Or you still busy fighting the good fight
>>
i fucking hate that smug look on his face
>>
Look at that smug face. Look how proud he is of himself for thinking he found a position that cannot be criticized at it is the "honest mans working life."

So many people think this guy is one of the last sensible people on Earth. Mike Rowe is a coward who is shamelessly vocal about how modest and "at peace" he is.
>>
>No such thing as a bad job

I pity anyone who has to clean up after my public restroom visits. I just piss everywhere but the toilet and shit on the toilet seat just to fuck with them. How'd you look on the bright side of that?

He gives meaning and inspiration to the 99% of low paying but necessary jobs. Reminds everything that they do something important and if it's not important - it can be made so. Fuck yall h8ers
>>
I do agree with his "Fuck your degree, learn a trade" stance.

We have too many college graduates, college is a scam. What we don't have not enough, due to a retiring work force, are plumbers, electricians, and other skilled trades.

Trade school is much much cheaper and it's possible for people to put themselves through it without financial assistance. The jobs pay well, especially if you work in an industry where there is demand.

The number of beta nu-males who can't fix a toilet or change the head gasket on their car is skyrocketing. Charge the shit out of them in labour costs.

>some media millionaire who has a TV show where he does various "dirty jobs" for one day a week for a few months a year trying to lecture the peons about "hard work"

And he's probably laughing all the way to the bank as he snorts a fat ass line of coke from some hooker's ass crack in the back seat of a limo while a million retards share this picture.

If he actually did those "dirty jobs" 40 hours a week, 50+ weeks of the year (if he's lucky enough to even have 2 weeks of vacation), he'd be singing a different tune.

It's like when Bill Gates tried to lecture students about how "no job is below them" and they should humble themselves and be grateful to make minimum wage at McDonalds.

I prefer rich people who are shamelessly lazy and decadent. At least they aren't full of shit.

Unions, what fucking joke. Keep picketing job sites, because companies from out of state will do the job for a fair price.

usually money is inherited. The bootstraps is just a justification and a false glimmer of hope to prevent the poor from killing the rich and taking their money (which is in their own self-interest). Look up "Horatio Alger".

So people should just stop working hard because someone, somewhere was born into wealth? So we should bitch and moan and automatically hate all people who are successful for that reason?

What a joke.

>The bootstraps is just a justification and a false glimmer of hope to prevent the poor from killing the rich and taking their money

Ha. I don't think anyone is worried about that ever happening. Because here's the thing about leftists. If they had any sort of drive, work ethic or brains, they wouldn't fucking be leftists, would they? If they can't even hold down a job for a few months, what hope do they have of overthrowing the bourgeois?

>3. I believe there is no such thing as a "bad job"

Then why do so many employers steal from their employees?

Is it not a "bad job" if your employer is making you the victim of wage theft?

http://www.epi.org/blog/wage-theft-by-employers-is-costing-u-s-workers-billions-of-dollars-a-year/

Billions. Not millions, billions.

American workers are having BILLIONS of dollars stolen from them by their employers.

What's your answer to that?

You said there are no "bad jobs". Is a job where your employer is STEALING YOUR WAGES not a bad job?

Should you be happy for the chance to work without the pay that is due you? Is it an "opportunity" to be the victim of THEFT?

I SAY NO.

It's not the left that draws the disaffected, mentally ill, narcissistic, and angry, it's radical movements in general.

Fascism had these people at the nucleus of its movement as well.

Happy, well adjusted normies are generally too busy enjoying their lives to give a second thought to fringe political movements.

What happens is, during good times, you have polarized groups of robot autists on either side of the political spectrum writing manifestos and threatening to shoot other when the revolution comes. When society starts to go downhill and common normies become discontent, the normies gravitate towards one side or the other, and the Fascist/Commie robots finally have normalfag footsoldiers to fight for their ideals.

You'd be surprised. You don't hear of them very often because they are technically still part of the "working class"; that is, they are in different circles than rich investors, attorneys, stock brokers, businessmen, etc.
>>
>>29109584
Well I can't answer for every communist (personally I'm an anarchist, not a Marxist, but there's no indication the people those posts were responding to were Marxists so I'm going to assume you think all left wingers are Marxists).

I'm a teacher at a small school and apply anarchist structure to the classroom when I can. This usually means letting the students lead lessons with me serving as a mentor rather than heavily teacher led discussion. This is just my preference, however.
I'm a member of the IWA
I attend anti austerity protests semi regularly
I support unions and union actions when I can, never cross a picket line
I volunteer at youth initiatives in my community, helping kids get off drugs, into education, getting real skills to help them progress in life

>>29109192
Politics in any nation has its own buzzwords and fads. Theres a whole culture built around whats 'ok' to say in every nation on earth. You can easily say one thing in one nation and have it be fringe, and in another be the same thing everyone else is saying. Liberal/democrats have also changed vastly in their views over the past few years, to the point where Bill Clinton himself says that everything he did in office was something he wished that he hadn't done. This is coming out of the most popular living president who is hailed as being able to walk the line between the two parties and championed countless intelligent legislation.
>>29109595
Hitler made all the women quit their jobs and get married and have kids. /r9k/ would be in heaven.
>>29111086
The question is entirely ethical when anyone discusses universal basic income or welfare programs. If they were ever practical, it would be obvious that these programs are palliative and ultimately drain the economy over time. Right now they just have them set for unlimited growth because the growing aging population would vote out anyone who didn't fund their final medical bills.
Its a cancer on the american governement as a whole, just like the pension system. It was always unsustainable, its just everyone knew that their kids would have to pay for it.
As for dirty jobs guy.
I just want to say that jobs are not fun. For most of human history, you did what you had to and you didn't have choices like 'go masturbate and hope the other guys will hunt down a buffalo'.
I think its worth considering that perhaps because we are getting far too used to getting our way that in fact we're cheating ourselves of the self-satisfaction of a hard days work and a paycheck duly earned.
Which is not to say I want to do ANY of the dirty jobs, but I think its worth being grateful at least that you can go sit in a call center and make just as much as someone working hard physical labor.
Other countries have it far worse.

Google the dude. While I can't say that he does not do blow off a hooker's asshole, I can say he did not inherit any money, and did not come from a family that was involved in media. Bill Gates did not just blunder his way to where he was. He was middle class, then he was a college dropout, then he out smarted, and out played everyone in the computer industry at the time, and came out on top. If you are going to try to make that claim, at least use someone who did not make over 99.9% of the money they have in their lifetime. You don't even have a case with those guys.

I don't think that we are thinking of the same kind of Anarchy.
Unions=Part time Government instigators
>>
>>29111661
Anarchy as described by Bakunin? Not at all. Right now Unions are corrupt, but even at their worst they're far better than your average corporate thugs, many of whom won't even allow workers to unionize.
>>
>>29111683
That is Collectivist anarchism, not "pure" Anarchy. Anarchy in our modern world is more of a thought experiment than a actual model. At it's most base idea though, it is the idea of a absence of organized groups trying to exert control over anyone. When you have unions, you don't have anarchy, because the union becomes a governing force. Unions were always corrupt, where have you been? They were started in this country by the mob to enforce protection rackets. They were later reinforced by the government, and converted into a political engine. You have to remember that a corporate thug as you put it can only threaten people's job in that company. The person has the freedom to leave, a union on the other hand can hold someone's business hostage in many states. In mine for instance, you have to shut down, and close all accounts for six months to dissolve a union, and you cannot fire a union worker so long as the union wants him to keep his job. Unions are not conducive to an anarchist system.

The picket line you referenced is the idea of a group of individuals trying to extort money off someone. That is not a voluntary exchange.
>>
>>29111598
Well yeah but Gates wasn't just lucky he was litigious as fuck and everyone hated him for a billion reasons and at the end of all his power plays and nonsense warren buffet convinced him to just give away most of his money when he dies. He spends most of it on africans and shit now.
So basically, he conquered the fucking business world to run around and spend money on poor people. What exactly was the point?
>>29111683
My favorite story was the union who wanted to bargain with the local government to lower their wages because they knew that the governments minimum wage was raised too high and that many of the union members would lose their jobs.
A union advocating to lower the wages of it workers.
And I would argue that private sector unions aren't the issue, public sector are especially prison unions that advocate for things like minimum sentencing and keeping pot illegal.

That works both ways dipshit.

You don't seem to understand that you and the baby boomer ilk no longer get to shout 'UR NOT ENTITLED SUCK IT UP' in a world that provides little to no incentive for participation.

Look around you, men get their shit wrecked by family courts, the job application requirements for a livable wage are absurd, and more people than ever opt to just say 'fuck it' and watch porn, shitpost all day or lose themselves in a good game. And really? Who the fuck can blame them?

Tony Robbins got abused and cleaning liquid poured down his mouth. He literally found the first mentor he could and copied his shit.
Bootstraps is impossible, but its not real life. People you believe can't do shit end up doing stuff all the time and overcoming all sorts of difficulty. Taking a negative mindset and pitching a situation where everything seems impossible is just inaccurate and limiting. That doesn't mean that its easy or that the people in those situations are just weak, its because they didn't get help and didn't make enough effort to recieve that help or the situation was truly quite hopeless. Either way to find out you're correct requires a test of the persons life.
