As a European, the last two years or so I am kind off obsessed by the idea of an 80s American childhood in the Midwest and I want to know if anyone ever had one or is it just my imagination from watching movies.
I will never
>be born in a family of 4 with an older sister, stay at home mother and a hard working father
>go out every day after eating a PB&J and play baseball with my friends all day while goofing around in the sun
>live near the lake and go swimming and fishing all the time
>do just ok in school and be that normal sane kid that just worked enough and didn't have a future
>get a sweetheart in the teens, go to the movies and just kiss
>go to the basement gig of an avant-garde rock band that never made it but is /mu/core so many years later
>just wear those high quality American made jeans and white sneakers all the time
