I... actually didn't mind MoP. Beautiful place to say the least.
mop was the most fun gameplay wise but nothing will beat the overall experience of wrath.
I gotta admit looking back MoP isn't nearly as bad as WoD is atm.
Only problem I really had with warlords was the severe lack of content. Garrisons weren't great but I've made a lot of gold from them so eh.

There's a distance between having to go through mobs for a quest and going through trash in a raid and committing mob genocide for hours for a item or quest pieces, less than 1% of the populace even got to see endgame content, not that the game was hard, just tedious and required more time than skill half the time, unless you're doing raids than fuck that shit around that time.

Timeless Isle was actually so amazing at first. Fun to explore, mostly required grouping and interacting with people, quick way to gear up alts. Amazing music and lore. No stupid collect 10 bear asses quests. Almost felt like a "sandbox" area the rest of the game should be. Anyway, once everyone figured it out though it was basically just a frog farm-fest.
Felt like they were going for something similar with Draenor, but they fucked it up so much with garrisons. There's basically no reason to ever leave them now.

nobody was farming frogs during the actual expansion, infact you probably dont even know the reason why people started farming them either.
They didnt go for anything similar with draenor, they had no intention of having something like the timeless isle, they literally tried to put in guild wars 2 type of event quests, but really the best they could achieve was just throwing a kill this animal quest in an area.
