Please, I've got 17,000. If you didn't want them, you shouldn't have saved them. Set aside an hour a day for housecleaning until you have things straightened out.

i'm really curious as to why you would do something like this. every image i save is immediately sorted to it's designated folder, although i'm only talking about images of anime girls so it's incredibly easy. it's just a simple drag and drop to the folder of the girl in question.
but i do think you should, it would be a nice productive way to pass the time.

i take care of my memes and maintain them daily look at my pepe folder for example.
i never was disorginised with my files to begin with, it may be too late for you OP

I had a few hundred at most at one point, sorted everything out in one day, never went back to doing it again.
It's funny because I have legit OCD and have to clean everything 4 times a day and everything has to be just at the right place at the right angle and everything is minimalist, but my computer tends to be a mess compared to my real life.
Probably because 99% of time in my computer I'm just staring at a web browser, and IRL I can see all my stuff all the time.

not him, but the longest time I just had a single overflowing "funny" folder, and then stopped bothering throwing everything in there. Then I made a wojak/pepe folder, then I made a political folder, then I made a reaction faces folder, and within that I made a smug anime girl folder, etc.
I tried to sort reaction images by the emotion they express but some are just so out of the box there's no where to put them ahhhh
