When I was young I wanted to be an artist, I drew a lot in school and took some art classes but I just wasn't that good. No matter how hard I tried everything I drew just looked like shit. I tried reading art books but it didn't help much, as high school dragged on I started drawing less and less. Now i've completely stopped, haven't touched a pencil in over 2 years. Whenever I talk to my step dad he always asks me if i've been keeping up with my art and I always lie and tell him I have. Sometimes I browse /ic/ and look at all the cool shit people have made, people more talented than I could ever be, and it just makes me feel dead inside.

Arts and crafts. Most recently I built a 1/6 scale roombox for the first time and have been decorating it gradually and creating things to fit with it. I also do a lot of sewing and I've been taking a break from the normal stuff I sew to focus on doll clothes and improve my patternmaking skills.

I can relate. I destroyed an estimate of $1000 worth of retro video games/consoles/accessories out of rage.
I could have donated them to someone who would actually play them and not just keep them shoved in boxes in a closet. Haven't bought another video game since.
