If it's the astringency, yeah, I guess you could say that's a flaw. Personally I think it gives the beer a little character. Really depends on your point of view.

It has a very mild flavor, but it's refreshing. It doesn't have an aftertaste or any off flavors.
If the bottles have been light struck the beer does get skunky though, so it's really a lot better if you buy a 12 pack or bigger, since those are kept in cardboard packaging till you open them. Or the cans are good too.
If you sip it at room temperature you can detect some very, very faint chocolate notes. With a room temperature Heineken you can get something like this but way more obvious, which is why to me Rolling Rock is like a watered down Heineken.

never tried honey, regular sugar and water fermented isn't too bad, though. so far the best combo i've made was:

Depends. If it's just the one drink I'll go for a whiskey sour or something like that. When I'm alone and just want to get hammered I crack open a case of Steel Reserve. It tastes like piss but I've gotten used to it. Kind of like the shitty off-brand soap I use that has this harsh smell. At first I hated it but then it grew on me and now it's familiar and comforting.
