obviously you're not trying, it's really not that hard to befriend someone/shoot them a message with similar interests and start talking from there (i'm assuming you're a fujoshi as well?).
there are tons of con meet ups on /cgl/ as well, although I will say to avoid the sugar daddy threads and any girl that goes on and on about brand, but you really have to actively trying NOT to meet people nowadays, even posting on /soc/ (filters are your friend) can hook you up with some good friends/potential dating material, through out the years I've met a lot of good friends on there that I get to share my fujo porn with.

look up popular fandoms with lots of male casts, yowamushi pedal, one punch man, tokyo ghoul, hero academia, gundam wing, neon genesis evangelion are all good ones to look into with lots of fan sites and forums online, but if you're more comfortable on 4chan then i'd say give it a shot on /soc/ if you haven't already.
there's usually a neet or anime thread up, or a general chat thread that people talk in, post around a little more often and get to know people, you can even start your post off stating what you're looking for and you'll more than likely get responses if you have a throw away email/contact.
