How do you deal with being mediocre? I spend all day reading from great authors, listening to great composers, learning about Aristotle, van gogh, Bill Gates, James Joyce, Einstein, and Mozart. Reading about their lives and how they were absolute geniuses creating greatness to be remembered throughout all of human history. And here I am sitting at home without passion, studying a field I feel no connection to for future wealth but knowing that I will never be truly great. Even if I had direction in something I wanted to excel at I don't have the mental capacity or talent to ever become brilliant. Such mediocrity is so painful, how am I supposed to live everyday while knowing I'm inferior and being reminded of the greatness I will never achieve when I use almost anything. I feel like such an embarrassment.

You're exposing yourself to the greatest minds the human race has ever birthed and realizing how insignificant you are in comparison
Just watch some TV and you should feel better, I suggest some MTV, Spike, CTN, CC, or basically any other popular channel you can find
Its sure to make you feel better knowing your at least 10x more useful to the human race than any number of those useless TV stars
Everyone is insignificant eventually
Once you get past all of the ethos, you should be able to realize that they're just people too. Exceptionally cool people, but still people.
They're not demigods.

I can't speak for all of them but Mozart was groomed and trained since birth to be a virtuoso musician and was naturally genius from the get-go. He never did any of that from your upbringing or position in life, nor would he have. He is the result of his circumstances, as are you.
I cope by remembering they had ideal childhoods and genetics

I convince myself that it's a mathematical inevitability. Most people are more or less around average so why bother torturing yourself over it?
most of those people were born as rich normies fuck em
creativity is basically just doing something over and over again until it clicks tho even geniuses make shit sometimes so if you want to be creative all you have to do is devote your life to perfecting a craft and eventually youll be a master as a NEET the only thing you have is complete free time so dont be so lazy anon

im a millennial mate i dont even know where the punctuation keys are
When you're in your 20s people praise you for every little thing you do.
After you're 30 it's about what you have actually accomplished.
It's a lot harder. But in some ways it helps you because you can no longer skate by on bullshit "potential".
