As long as you have faith that the Lord is by your side and pray you can overcome anything. Also prayer is not just "making a wish " you actually have to work towards what you pray for. You can have all the Faith but if you're not working towards what you believe in you will have nothing.

It's just unbearable. Not that my pastor is bad for this, but going to church is a constant reminder how alienated I am, even among people who are accepting of all sorts of people. In the past I've had people try to be my friend in church out of pure pity, which I appreciate, but that's no friendship. It's hollow and you have to constantly worry about their true feelings of you.
I wholeheartedly believe in God. I've been religious for essentially my entire life, I'm still suffering, despite my prayers. It's as though I'm constantly being punished.
I tried once or twice but I feel going to Church is the only way to truly worship God and be part of a community, it sounds great but my social anxiety prevents me from going to a Church, considering I'm not a Christian and have no religious background, I am also a bit of a sceptic, there is too much evil in the world which I've seen, from the racism of /pol/ to being guilty masturbating to CP and gay glory hole sex videos, I've seen it all and I find the idea of becoming a Christian is perfect in theory, it;s just I am too depressed and unhappy to see the light you could say.
