Why do we hate tumblr again?
Everyone here's so nice and accepting, the only hard part is remembering everyone's pronouns (I get away pretty well with just calling everyone by their first names)
I have to agree with you.
I got into a show with a very SJW-tier fandom and expected it to suck but instead of everyone being a shrieking harpy they were actually really cool and nice people.
Certainly better company than the 'LOL TRIGGERED HAHAHA LE KEKS RITE GUYS?' crowd.

Most of my social circle is basically what people here would call "sjws" and I troll them all the time by saying non-PC and offensive shit, including pretending to support politics I don't actuallt support. They don't care; we're friends, they can take bants and some of them have a fucked up sense of humour anyway. They get offended when total strangers say shit to hurt them and mean it.
