Because i have no idea of what i should do with a GF.
because I'm still holding out for a faint glimmer of hope that I can turn my life around.
If I end up getting employed I don't want to be distracted by having a tulpa talking to me and vice versa.
Also I'm afraid that willingly taking the road of the shut-in like that will only lead to increasingly destructive life choices and suicide at the age of 30.

For what it's worth my tulpa has helped with work. The chatter through out the day doesn't distract from work too much, and she has helped with one major issue by finding a piece of forgotten memory on an almost unrelated topic that just happened to make for a good solution.

Over the course of a long time. Mine started out as a fictional character that I made and obsessively daydreamed about. I would slowly give them features I thought was cool or tweak their look here and there.
They kinda changed their look and overhauled it on their own after they were sentient for a while, too. A lot of the original theme, like hair or eye color, remained the same. But they're now shorter and look more sneaky and aggressive.
Don't worry too much about the looks. It's an incorporeal entity, the "looks" are not set in stone.

I spoke with my tulpa regarding this point, although I don't have the same level of self loathing as you do. Being able to see things from my perspective, and experience my memories to see how I'm made the way I am, good or bad, makes her a lot more sympathetic to me and forgiving of my flaws.
The fact that you made them and pour such a large amount of love and attention into their being over the course of a long time does also mean that they will love you too. Imperfect as I am, they see me as being stronger, braver, and more handsome in their eyes. Seen through the lens of love.
