Realistically it's what women need. However with current society and the trends we are headed away from a society that will provide that. The slow crumbling of marriage, broken homes, and single parents is leading the youth of today toward the pump and dump culture just because it provides easy access to quick acceptance (through sex). Although this acceptance/self validation is fleeting and barely feels the empty void left by a shattered childhood.
In other words it's a self perpetuating cycle. I don't see it ending anytime soon. At the same time I don't think it's extreme as r9k makes it out to be, but every year things get a little worse.
