My dog killed this.

What I never understood though, is how damage like this can kill something. My dog seemingly only bit in the lower torso, and it was able to awkwardly bound away for about 20 feet before it gave up and lay on the ground. For a few minutes it was breathing and blinking, but then rather suddenly it stopped and just went lifeless.

By what mechanism did it die? Assuming a heart attack, are the effects of such really that delayed?

Probably had a heart attack
>>
I'm no medifag, but the bite probably ruptured it's organs to hell. It internally bled before losing enough blood to die of hemorrhagic shock.

You don't understand anything about biology.
>dog bites squirrel
>jaw pressure squeezes squirrel providing kinetic stress on squirrels musculature
>squirrel does high intensity acitivty after just having it's lower torso crushed a bit

Give it a good burial anon
>>
it's almost certainly spinal chord injury
that, or internal bleeding
>>
rodents tend to have very weak hearts i think. i remember my sisters friends hamster had a heart attack because the family dog was barking at it when it escaped from its cage

FUR-FRIEND DESERVES IT!

normies are kinder to rodents like this than they are to me.
I am going to poison all the small animals in my town for revenge.

Assuming there was no actual trauma to vital organs, then probably either
>bleeding
>heart failure from stress

>Assuming a heart attack, are the effects of such really that delayed?

If that was what happened, it may well have happened at any time between the attack and death, heart failure from trauma can definitely be delayed.

Makes sense.

Yeah, and? Sounds like enough to fuck its muscles up, but why would that flat out kill it?
>>29009343
I'm going to toss it in the woods after it gets dark. Years ago my friends and I gave a respectful burial to a chipmunk we found dead, though.

Come on, do that. Give it a nice presentation box, play some Gregorian and orthodox hymns for it, light a candle, read revelations 21:1-7 over it, perform the correct rites over it (http://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/portlaoise_funeral_liturgy.pdf), and then bury or burn it.

Well rodents aren't dicks.

Imagine someone lit a door on your chest and stacked bricks on it.
Squeeze a lemon and tell me if it changes shape.
Your body is mostly water, impacts move throughout your musculature, which, BTW, includes organs, as organs are considered to be fibrose tissue, a type of muscle
