Any robots that have medical problems check in here? What's up with you, how does it affect your life, what (if anything) are you doing to help?

Crohn's checking in here, also have some other related autoimmune shit (psoriasis and arthritis). On the outside I look fine as long as I cover up the psoriasis patches but I walk kind of weirdly, have to get fluid drained from my knee if it gets too bad
>>
Would have thought there was more ill robots in here, shameless self bump

I had systemic Lyme Disease in 2013 which led me to have 3% of my brain volume lost and schizoaffective disorder as a consequence. I also have heart palpitations and insomnia because of it.
>>
>>29002295
Shit senpai, do you get any support for it? I've heard of Lyme's but never know the symptoms could be that major
>>
I browse too many memes

I have sensitive skin. I had eczema all over body. 23 and still dealing with bullshit acne. Seb derm all over head. Clinically depressed. Anxiety disorders. Can't function like a normal bean because of said mental disorders. Shoot me in the head.

I'm so glad I'm in good health physically for the most part.
The only things wrong with my me are vertigo and a weird rash on fingers.

But I had a scare recently where I collapsed and fainted randomly. For a week I had to sit around doing nothing. Now that the blood tests and heart monitor came back with good results it seemed to a random one off thing and after being so uncertain about my health I'm truly grateful that there is nothing wrong with me.
>>
>>29002471
I think that's everyone here senpai
>>29002479
Iktf with the skin issues, psoriasis is very similar. I can't wear t shirts or shorts without looking like a reptile and most people are disgusted if they see it
>>29002609
This happened to some guy I know, I think he was diagnosed with epilepsy shortly after. He's fine now though, just has to take some pills for a few months
>>
>>29002464
Only tangentially related but in Australia Lyme disease isn't recognised and doctors refuse to treat it.
>>
>>29002471
Don't overdose.
>>
>>29002669
Why would they have such a idiotic rule? Couldn't you sue or some shit if anything goes wrong
>>
>>29002818
I don't quite fully understand the politics surrounding the issue but it certainly does seem strange. I think some people are trying to put some legal pressure in but I don't think they've gotten anywhere yet.
>>
I have gastro problems and feel an urge to pass gas whenever I get nervous

>good face

Fuck you guys. You have it easy.
>>
>>29003147
try taking activated charcoal and buying a couple pairs of shreddies
>>
>>29003603
I have activated almonds if that will work
>>
>>29003147
Is it just gas or is there a disease behind it? I occasionally get that but I'm not sure if it's because of the Crohn's or just anxiety
>>29003413
>implying you can't be ill and a manlet

>Avoidant personality disorder & body dysmorfic disorder

Are you getting surgery for your scoliosis? I know someone with it and he said it's much better after his operation
>>
Diabetes here , having weird issues controlling it , causing me depression and being unable to do stuff . Some days I can't even play vidya
>>
I have some thyroid issue but I couldn't care enough to call the endocrinologist.

>>29002295
I have Lyme disease that I am not treating. So far lost vision in my right eye and sometimes I get ticks or something. Like I uncontrollably move in ways that hurt. I hope death comes quick.

>>29002464
Generally it's only treated for two weeks, and after that you need to go to a Lyme specialist and insurance won't pay for it.
>>
Mild scoliosis and multiple eye problems.

Asthma all my life. Had Asthma attacks regularly as a toddler. Exercise, cold weather, allergies, and sickness all make my asthma much worse. I've been to the ER countless times throughout my life due to attacks that are too strong for a regular inhaler to stop.

Despite this I'm athletic and was a XC and track runner in high school and college. Decided to run while I was sick once though and had to drop out after the first mile due to an asthma attack. Ended up in the ER that night.

It's not too bad, I live a healthy life mostly unimpeded by Asthma. What sucks the most is always having to remember to bring an inhaler places, always keeping track of the number of doses and refills I have left, and needing to pay money to be able to breathe. You shouldn't need a prescription to get an albuterol inhaler, being forced to visit a doctor and go through an entire physical just so I can get a prescription is such fucking bullshit.

there are high chances i have marfan syndrome or a related condition,i was going to a geneticist to evaluate the possibility of doing a genetic test, but i haven't called her back.I'm scared, because my aorta could burst anytime, but at the same time it could be a way of leaving this shitty world without having to kill myself.
>>
>>29007003
oh and i also have fucked up feet.

I have psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, I only got a proper diagnosis last month because I put off going to the doctor for years until I was having trouble walking (and getting that diagnosis took half a year). A couple of months ago I had to start using a walking stick. The psoriasis is really mild, I always thought I just had bad dandruff.

Now I'm taking an anti-inflammatory and three sulfasalazine pills twice a day and I think it's fucking me up. It was fine until last week, I'm often feeling nauseous, but not enough to puke, which is annoying because it makes me think I'm maybe imagining it, I'd rather vomit and be certain of it, and similarly I think it's fucking with my mood, I've felt really depressed at times the past couple of weeks. I'm a fairly negative person anyway, but whereas in the past I've thought "I should probably kill myself, lol" now I'm suddenly like "oh fuck I really have no option in life but to kill myself", like it's really oppressive, while I lie in bed unable to muster up the energy to get up, let alone do the stretching exercises I'm supposed to be doing to fix my hip. It's giving me crazy tinnitus too.

Chronic progressive multiple sclerosis and celiac disease. I had a measured full-scale IQ of 150 on the Wechsler at age 10 and now I can barely remember a list of five words or a simple visual pattern.

Some fucker was posting this reaction time test last night and I couldn't get a score above 350 ms, which I guess is really bad. I was only recently diagnosed with celiac for random reasons, but the doctor says my genetics put me at risk of developing type 1 diabetes and myasthenia gravis.

The diet I have to follow to avoid practically shitting myself constantly is expensive as hell, but it is hard to work good hours with my conditions and even at that, I am just wage cucking, so I'll never really come out ahead.

I'm just waiting for the real shit to set in with the multiple sclerosis like balance/coordination problems and blindness so I can at least get on NEETbux without getting hassled for nothing looking obviously wrong with me.

The worst part is that none of this stuff is actually fatal. I just have to live like a hollowed out, perpetually exhausted shell for the foreseeable future. I think I must have stolen from orphans or something in a past life.

>>29007064
Same. As in the flattest the doctor had seen in 25 years of practice. It was apparently bad enough to cause my spine to twist in a way that resembles scoliosis, but isn't. I was told I might have to get a hip replacement in ~15 years. I'm 24 and have never played sports nor been overweight.
>>
>>29007003
Do you have back problems as well? I talked to someone online with a similar condition and his back was fucked, had to use a wheelchair most of the time
>>29006844
Not asthma but something similar happened to me after having some kind of nut, went into shock and completely passed out. Lucky my mum found me and called an ambulance
>>29007437
PA is a bitch, not sure how bad yours is but when I get flare ups I can barely walk properly. Have to shuffle around most of the time.and even then it's really difficult
>>
>>29001937
Pic you posted is literally me. I have a stomach hernia which causes massive amounts of acid indigestion, food constantly coming up and feeling like throwing up often after eating. I get hiccups and burp all the time.

Without my medication the acid gets so bad that it feels like there's an apple sized lump of burning shit in my throat and I spit out stomach acid like some sort of fucking human lizard.

I also have runner's knee in my right leg which gets very painful if I dont walk on a daily basis and tends to make loud and painful popping sound. Got that during the army.
>>
>>29001937
Neuropathy that is slowly getting worse. I have to get tested to see if I'm a diabetic, but I'm 90% certain this bullshit started when I was given a Cipro prescription a few years ago. One of the adverse reactions is nerve damage. I was never the same after that; my feet and hands felt like they would start burning with no provocation.
>>
>>29007437
How old are you? Anti-inflammatories fucking suck because of all the endocrine related side effects that come with immunosuppression. All I can say is, if you start growing tits, talk to our doctor.

In general, I just hate the idea of being cucked by the pharmaceutical industry for the rest of my life. They have me by the balls and we all know it. Younger people with pharmaceutically treatable, chronic illnesses are like their wet dream. They know they have you on the hook for the majority of your life. Fucking hate that feeling.
>>
>>29007636
Fuck, I know that last feel hard. I look fine on the outside as long I cover up the psoriasis, it's like you have to have a leg falling off or something before people accept you have an illness
>>29007615
Where did you serve senpai?
>>29007636
I take immunosuppressants and I'm not sure what they're doing to me, they help keep the worst of the Crohn's and psoriasis away but I always feel nauseous and uncomfortable. I even have to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight because there's an increased risk of skin cancer
>>
I'm 100% sure I have a suppressed neurological/autoimmune desease. The tremors and sleep seizures are popping up.

I also have liver disease.
>>
Got a discopathy in my lumbar spine. Not a full-blown herniated disc. I have pain down my left thigh, and my feet tingle constantly, because the disc presses against nerves.

It doesn't really affect me, except the pain. A few times I've had trouble sleeping. Oh yeah, I avoid driving or sitting down for a long period, makes it worse.

I saw a physical therapist, and did a lot of hiking. That helped for a while but now it's back.

adding on

Sometimes I wake up unable to feel my legs and arms, brain will throb but my heart feels normal, or for 3-4 days my body gives out. ie severe fatigue, body chills, imbalance, mouth tastes metallic, bad tremors, walking is a struggle.

on rare occasions I'll get this crackling/zappy feel in my chest before my heart palpitates up and down.
