I wish I'd been recording this. I've probably only had a few 300+ ebin threads in my lifetime.
Most of my threads on /r9k/ get 5-70 replies. The smaller ones ironically consist mostly of me replying to people and finding excuses to post in order to extend its life though.
if you want to make threads make it to increase the OC level on the board not to get (you)s. You may not get 300+ replies but atleast you'll be doing something to improve the boards quality and there will be plenty of anons out there who will be thankfull for it

my first post on r9k was a 'poopoo peepee' rap song, someone vocaroo'd it and it got 300+ replies
never had one like that since. i always try to keep my threads alive, but cant. also sometimes I feel bad for other anons with small threads who are genuine becuse all the bad threads get really big, so i try to reply to them.

No really the only person I met in my life who used 4chan only ever read and never posted. He was a full blow lurker. In fact, the truth is every post you make is probably read by a couple hundred lurkers right now as I speak.
I post based on a troll factor system. 100% troll bait is good but I always aim for 200%. If your thread has 0% you are just a failure at life and should kill yourself.

I swear this happens to me a lot for some reason. Also I think it has to do with me taking on a different personality in each of my threads. Sometimes I'm an edgy teen, others I'm Mr. Normalfag. I don't even know who I am myself anymore.
