My story, which happened a small handful of hours ago:-
For context, I reside in a small town, live in a fucking trailer park, unemployed and basically able to cover rent and food for most of the period till the next welfare payment. Technically considered living in poverty but it's better than being homeless. Anyway.
This early morning there was a knock at my door and I was distracted by things going on my computer and was in a big of a high mood (bi-polar mood swings, somewhat controlled by medication) so when I noticed the knocking a second or third time I jumped up without thinking and unlatched the door (doesn't have a working latch so I jerry rigged one together out of old computer parts) and greeted what happened to be a young guy installing smoke alarms.
I asked him where he needed it and the response was "in the middle of the room but just here is fine". He was trying to hide is absolute fucking disgust. Long story short is that for the past few weeks I had been going through an episode of depression and just coming out of it at the moment. When I go through these phases I tend to go into extreme isolation mode, as in only leaving to buy food, not even showing, etc. The result of this is basically bags fucking full of rubbish; dirty clothes piled up; zip-locked bags of shit (too anxious to leave during the day and needed to shit somewhere) and things generally out of order. The place must reek of a month old massacre.

There are a shitload of fantranslators out there but I don't really do that sort of thing, due to most things being already translated. The LO translation was more or a once off for someone who wanted something specific that he couldn't find a translation of, most of the shit I do are crappy little commission jobs for companies who want things like user manuals excerpts and documents for/from Japanese/English companies.
