Why does life suck so fucking bad? It seems like even normies are fed up now. Did something happen recently that just fucking ruined everything? Why does everything seem so much worse than it was 2 years ago?

It's like something happened in 2015 that fucked the world up permanently but I don't know exactly what it was.

We need a spiritual revolution...people have sunken into hedonistic empty lifestyle
>>

It's not like we're any more hedonistic than 2 years ago, but something seems distinctly worse than 2 years ago

your perception has changed

I'm not talking about the 90s, I'm talking about 2014.

social media is making everyone insecure, hypercompetitive and vapid. maybe normies are suddenly coming to this realisation, but I highly doubt it. not yet, anyway
>>
>>28988026
Yes everything is going downhill and I figured out how to fix it...

Move out of your country

Honestly, it might be because it's an election year, and everyone's full tot he brim with bitching over the flaws in society. Not that they're wrong, things do suck. Maybe it's the Sanders voters spreading information on how fucked over the US is in comparison, combined with the Trumptards a Shillbots proving that things *are* actually pretty fucked up.

>>28988959
This is a big one for sure. I can barely stand normiebook anymore. It's just a never ending deluge of utterly retarded shit posted by people I don't have any connection to anymore.
>>
>>28989187
Not just 2016, 2015 too and 2014 and even before

2016 is just raising the bar of ridiculousness with facebook, twatter, and jewtube banning people saying things they don't like for example.

It's because there really isn't anything exciting coming down the pipeline and nothing to fight against. The mid-20th century had the fight against the Nazis, then gommunism, plus the promise of the Space Age, new telecommunications and transportation technology advances. It seemed like by the year 2000 all the problems would be solved, there would be flying cars and moon colonies at the very least. By the 90s there was still the draw of the new millenium and the internet boom, but by the beginning of the new decade it was clear that everything was going wrong. The war against terror was a sham, and it's clear there is no one worth fighting against and nothing to look forward to except ecological disaster, demographic disaster and so on.

>>28989187
>Honestly, it might be because it's an election year
This is going to sound euphoric, but I don't think the average normie really cares about politics that much. The election, and Trump in particular, is just John Oliver meme fodder for them. Most opinions I see them express are prepackaged and bordering on virtue signalling, I don't see it as genuine concern from a lot of them. Certainly not a cause of society-wide depression.

Social media is the big one, and even that I think normies only get upset by on a subconscious level. They're still all happy to have no less than six social media profiles on the go at any one time and post 20 selfies a week, but that has to take a toll emotionally on some level.

the force awakens was everybodys hope for a turning tide and when it turned out to be shit people just gave up. That's my theory anyway

2013 was when it began, this is the truth. We must fix this.
>>
does anybody ever get the feeling that they're in this simulation built just for them and that everything you feel and think effects the world in some way or other like a butterfly effect? i get this from time to time
>>
It's because you only see the world through the internet

You're extremely detached from reality and therefore think that everyone is in the same state as you, or because of things you see online that further confirms your beliefs.
>>
Lifes getting better for me. Most peoples problem is that they cant ignore all the things they dont have since we're in the information age. Fortunately i dont give a shit
>>
>>28989454
social media has done more damage than people give it credit. It has turned honest people into vain false superficial people and happy people into sef conscious individuals. Maybe only on a small level but it's been enough to cause the changes we're seen right now in society
>>
>>28989640
Yea I was just going to say that, but of course the likely answer is just that your perception of the world is determined by your mood, so you don't get the correct picture.
>>
>>28989640
You said what I feel but then again, how do I know this was you and not my mental simulation who sent your post?

Everyone who I've talked to even in real life seems to be doing really bad lately, for the past year or so it seems people have just been terrible. Bored? Apathetic? I don't know, but people are getting fired, losing their families, losing their tempers, it's not just me.

Even the normalest normies are starting to lose hope in things, I don't fucking know what happened but nobody I know is happy anymore, not a single person, nobody I meet in my daily life, none of my coworkers, none of my college classmates, it's like the end of the world.

And what the fuck is this frog unicycle shit? Like this is supposed to be the meme of 2016? Nobody is even fucking trying anymore, everything fucking sucks even the memes.
>>
>>28989720
Agreed. I don't think it's a small change at all. Unfortunately you can't criticise it any more without being called a fedora or a loser, which is basically its defence mechanism.

I've been around normies more than I'd like to admit and their lives honestly revolve around it. Not to the point of becoming literal drones or anything that extreme, but of course having digital selves to manage is going to cause some dissonance. There are a select few well-rounded people who can just deal with it like any other thing, but for the rest of us it feeds either
our narcissistic or anxious traits.

You're either a part of it, taking time out of your life to make sure you look good online, or you're looking from the outside and wondering why everyone's having so much fun and you're not. Technology is great, but social media is just preying on anxieties for the sake of advertising and data mining. Shit like Tinder is even worse.
>>
>>28989910
The world is changing drastically in front of us, especially socially. I can't say if its for better or worse, but its gonna fuck you up when the world your parents raised you to be in no longer exists by the time you're an adult.

I do still see plenty of happy people, though. So I don't know if I'm just projecting my own depression or if the world is really fucked.
>>
I don't know what happened but my life is utterly shit house and it seems to be getting worse all the time its like everyone but a few people have a decent life
>>
>>28989999
>its gonna fuck you up when the world your parents raised you to be in no longer exists by the time you're an adult.

Except nobody cares when this happens to white people, because nothing bad ever happens to us
>>
The last 2 years haven't really been that bad. I'm older than most people here but not by much.

When I think about distinctly bad years I remember, they are 2003, when the country was full blown comatose, sleepwalking into the Iraq War, and 2008, when the economy went completely to shit over the course of like a month.

Obama's presidency hasn't been spectacular, the economy has barely chugged along, but really nothing terrible has happened on the scale of a full blown invasion of a Middle East shit hole, or trillions of dollars simply disintegrating in thin air. A lot of people thought 2008 was the end of the road as far as our way of life is concerned.

I think people in general have a short attention span, and frankly a lot of people here were just a few years too young to really grasp what was going on in the 00's. The last couple years haven't been stellar but there's really no comparison at all. It's been mostly uneventful in comparison.
>>
>>28989928
i don't think it's just normies though even people who would normaly be considered out of the box thinkers have been dragged into are this attention whoring crap
>>
>>28988026

Does anyone else just feel empty?
Like I don't necessarily feel sad, but I don't feel happy either.
I just feel numb to the world, life is boring me.

I don't like this feeling.
I'm glad I ditched all forms of social media a year ago though, as that was extremely destructive.
>>
>>28988088
People are banking on science and technology to fill that role. I don't know if it will or not. The laws of physics being what they are technology has probably already plateaued except for stuff like video game graphics and self driving cars.
>>
>>28990024
What on earth are you talking about? No one cares because it hasn't had economic repercussions yet. In fact, social media, feminism and everything else changing society is entirely profit-driven at the expense of human emotions and cohesion. It's dumb and short-sighted to think that no one cares about white people when virtually everyone in our society is white.

>>28990040
It's everyone. I think it's generally accepted that if you're in a certain age range you need social media or you basically don't exist. However, I think a lot of the "out of the box thinkers" are capable of managing it as a separate entity and not letting it get to them too much. I don't think these people are diving into it head first like the rest of the normies, it's just something they need to do to keep up.
>>
>>28989910
i think it says somewhere in the bible that when when the neon green frog arrives on the unicycle, the skyes will open and the four horsmen of the apocalypse will lay havoc to earth or something like that. So yeah we're probabily fucked

Besides that, this has been my best year of porn yet. I'm so glad I collected so much porn and busted so many nuts.

the world seem shit when you're depressed. You're all just projecting yourself on everything around you. That being said 2016 is turning out to be a pretty shitty year over all

I swear to god I'm like this close to blowing my brains out, I have never been more shameless in real life than I have for the past two months.
In that time I've asked girls out and they've said yes, I've told people to fuck off and have my own place. It didn't make me any happier, I'm still that point of pulling the trigger and I know I'm just stalling trying to find something to live for.

I'm going to enlist and choose 3rd infantry. I just need a place in where I can express my masculinity, I feel held down and repressed in my office job, every time I start drinking I want to lash out like a dog and bite and hit things, all this energy that will be wasted in this shit fuck mess of a normie life.

There is no way I can do this till 2017.
Tomorrow I can take a halfday, get off early and go to the recruitment center.

I'm 100% done
