I didn't play any sports, nor was I fit at all. I was around 96kg (211 lbs).
We met in one of those online games where you get extra buffs like more strength or whatever from "soul mating" with someone.
I don't usually play those kind of games and it was my first, but I was a big weeb back then and its art appealed to me. It got greenlit on steam and it was in beta so I gave it a try and met her out of luck.
We got talking, we quested and played together and somehow my disgusting self was having fun. I had zero interest in having a relationship or anything, and I certainly didn't think that we'd end up in one either.
Stuff happened, we skyped, we cammed, I flew to her country and we met irl.
She fucked me on my first night there.
And yes, she knew that I was fat. She even spoke to my dad before I flew over to her country and he asked "are you sure you're okay with *insert my name here*?".
Ended up losing a ton of weight down to around 56kg (123 lbs) in 2 months (unhealthy I know) because on my next visit she was going to be with her mum and I wanted to make a good impression.
Advice: be confident, no matter how ugly or fat you are, if you aren't all self loathing and self hating when talking to a girl and actually act like you're worth something, then you can actually have a good time and perhaps something more.

I don't think this is a dysfunctional relationship at all - perhaps at the start from my side since she's my first and I had absolutely no experience with girls at all.
She taught me about relationships and was really tolerant of my noobness. She'd feel bad at something and I'd leave to give her space or whatever, and then she'd later tell me that you're not supposed to leave but instead stay and comfort etc kind of thing.

I know some girls don't like inexperience and some don't mind at all, but if you happen into a relationship with the latter, do be open and tell them that they're your first - there's no shame in that at all. Let them know that you're willing to learn. Mine for example valued intelligence, so showing that I was paying attention and trying to actually learn how a relationship works made her happy.
Don't be silent when you're thinking, especially after you've argued or she's said something. They're not mind readers and the only way to interpret silence is that you don't care.

well to change the story a bit, I had actually just turned 18 when we met, she was 23.
I had found a zeemaps for /a/ somewhere and noticed there was one other person in my country, and they lived near me.
I got an email back from a month later because they had missed it initially and from there we messaged each other for a month until we decided to meet eventually one night and get an ice cream. She was a regular user of r9k like myself and had been browsing 4chan for longer actually. Even my few close friends IRL were not as similar as her and I.
