>tfw fell for the vr meme
You fuckers told me VR could cure tfw no gf, but instead all I can find is fucking porn. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty good, especially when they get really close to the camera, but some random roastie getting railed by Chad isn't what I was l looking for.
>>28986523
give it a few years OP
vr gfs will happen eventually
>>28986574
Honestly the technology is here, all I want is a video of a cute girl acting gfly towards the camera. I guess it's the market that's missing.
>>28986523
>listening to advice from here
may as well go to reddit if you want advice from people who aren't trying to drag you as far down as they are
>>28986523
>"Hey guys check out this new thing I invented called writing, you can tell about things that happened and even things that DIDN'T happen, but would be cool if they did."
>"Why aren't there any good tablets to read!? It's just about our gods and shit! Don't get me wrong, those are pretty cool, but I want to read stories about badass heroes."
>"Hey guys I tweaked this oscilloscope so you can play a game of table tennis on the screen. It's pretty cool."
>"What the fuck!? Where are the fucking RPG mechanics!? Don't get me wrong, table tennis is cool, but some dot getting bounced back and forth isn't what I was looking for."
Give the medium time to develop. There has never been something comparable in the whole of human history, maybe give it more than a few months to produce something truly great.

>i-i-it just needs time...
>WHY AREN'T YOU GIVING IT TIME
>IT'S NOT READY YET
>Y-Y-YOU'LL SEE!!!!
I bet you think motion controls will be good for video-games one day too. Somethings are just bad ideas. VR will never be perfected in or even around our life time. Just because something may be better a century from now doesn't mean it's excusable in the present. VR is shit now and that's all that matters.
But please continuing soothing OP's feelings and wasted money by telling him he just didn't buy it when it was ready. No one's insulting the idea of VR. They are insulting the VR headset itself.
And you just continue to romanticize technology that you yourself say does not yet truly exist.

It's not that I regret my purchase (which was like $25), I'm just disappointed.
>>28987149
>VR will never be perfected in or even around our life time.
So you agree that having unreasonable expectations for it as of now is inappropriate, regardless of your opinion of it? I'm not trying to soothe anyone's wounded wallet, but if a guy buys a Viagra and expects himself to become a sex god it's no one's fault but his own.
Always remember 2d>3d there is amazing 2d porn so why don't you just use that instead of some filthy roastie bullshit?
>>28987239
>$25
So you bought one of those crappy headsets where you put your phone in it? you make me sick.
>>28987149
>>28987257
>>28987307
Like I said, it's not the technology that disappointed me, it's the content. I guess maybe that will come with time, or maybe there will never be enough pathetic fags like me to make producing it worthwhile.
>>28987285
But it feels more real, anon-kun.
is VR just putting a screen close to you or such? it sounds like i'd get a headache.
>>28987149
>a century from now
the tech is pretty much almost flawless.
all we need is someone to combine all devices and create the content.
I'd be surprised if 5 years from now vr sex wouldn't be a multi million dollar industry.
>>28987364
It will also burn your eyes to crisps despite what the vr shills try to tell you. They'll all be blind in 20 years.
>>28987257
>>28987149
>VR will never be perfected in or even around our life time
ever heard of exponential growth?
Where was VR 10 years ago? Oh right, it didn't even exist.
In the next 10 VR will improve rapidly, let alone in the next 20 years.

BELIEVE
KEEP LIVING
THE NEW AGE IS COMING
>>28987454
Like I said, over-the-top expectations of VR AS OF NOW are unreasonable, regardless of your opinion on it's future growth. As of now it's a brand new field with brand new names and ecosystems.
>>28987454
I understand you really want to live a second life with your waifu but vr is fad, a failed market, a gimmick. Its evolution will stop and slow when no one gives a shit about it in a year or two
>>28986523
You bought a gear. All you were gonna get is shit porn. Should have bought a Vive. They've got several gf simulators.
Plus, VR is still in its first generation. Devs are still just experimenting.
>>28987598
I don't even need a gf simulator, video would do. It's just a matter of producing such videos.
>>28987657
>video would do
Plenty of gf simulator videos out there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2WUDbT-YoQ
Some of them are starting to get into 3D recording, so its just a matter of patience.
>>28987149
For real I think comparing old technology to new technology is like a false dichotomy.
That's like comparing World War 2 to the Napoleonic wars.
In this day and age if you invent a new piece of technology you aren't going to be able to impress people like you could do in the 70's and 80's. You got to do a sort of Blitzkrieg on the market, give people incentive to buy the product.
So far I have seen nothing like that with the VR. Half Life on VR seems pretty cool, but I don't see anything that is taking the market by storm.
