Read that gives you a basic over view, basically it scales you according to each of those personality traits, it dosent attribute a cookie cutter personality like MTBi. Both are slightly different and test different things, but B5 are generally more accurate.
I'm usually INTP but depending on different tests I vary between personalities. Just check the percentages of each of the functions you get on MTBi you might be 50/50 or really close on some functions which is why it isn't always efficient.

The best match is having the same personality type. Otherwise, it's sometimes said that N types should be with other N types, otherwise communication is too difficult. Extraverts should pair with intraverts for various reasons, but again this isn't always true.
There's a few really good pairs like ENFP+INTJ, which share fi/te as their 2nd and 3rd functions. And ENTP + INFJ which share fe/ti.
