Read that gives you a basic over view, basically it scales you according to each of those personality traits, it dosent attribute a cookie cutter personality like MTBi. Both are slightly different and test different things, but B5 are generally more accurate.
I'm usually INTP but depending on different tests I vary between personalities. Just check the percentages of each of the functions you get on MTBi you might be 50/50 or really close on some functions which is why it isn't always efficient.

I was always riding the line between S and N though. That being said, I think the Assertive/Turbulent piece is the most important in terms of being happy with how things are going.

The best match is having the same personality type. Otherwise, it's sometimes said that N types should be with other N types, otherwise communication is too difficult. Extraverts should pair with intraverts for various reasons, but again this isn't always true.
There's a few really good pairs like ENFP+INTJ, which share fi/te as their 2nd and 3rd functions. And ENTP + INFJ which share fe/ti.
Its harder with IP and EJ types because they share 1st and 4th functions instead. But as an INFP for example the best matches would be something like ENTJ, ENFP, ENFJ, and maybe INFJ.

Yea probably the less you care the better. Think it's mainly because of the extroverted sensing. We know what looks or sounds good or what gives a good impression/reaction and it can handle anything that's coming in the moment. Se tends to be the cool function.
