Yeah, I just never left. I still remember the first day when people kept trying to make it like "classic /b/", with lots of "exploitables" and OC. Most of the threads were about saying things without getting timed out. It all felt very novel and exciting. Now it's one of the most bitter and culturally entrenched boards on the site, and [s4s] has become the "classic /b/ board" to a large extent. But I'm still here. Why?

When I realized this is where social outcasts like me hang out. I somehow felt home and I was happy people shared the same problems I had.
I still don't know where I belong or what I want to do with my life. I'm quite content with just sitting infront of the computer all day. When I spend my days on 4chan or /r9k/ I don't feel left out like I do when I'm off the computer.
It's kind of sad that this seems to be my life now.

went to 4chan because i heard it was meme mcfunny and then i went to /b/ and i saw a furry so i clicked on /r9k/ because what the fuck does r9k mean and then i saw faggots like me posting sad frogs and saying they were gonna suicide and i felt right at home
I wanted a place to shoot the shit with people about anything. /b/ was too chaotic and filled with children. Everyone was trying to create the next big meme. The spam was 24/7. Someone said it was not bad here. I started reading the green text stories and really grew to like the guys here. Most of them are bitter guys who just want to belong. It was also very free. We could talk about anything here without any censorship. The mods were not faggots.
I do not know if I will ever leave here. I love the community and feel like there is no other place on the internet than this.
Found 4chan by accident in early '07, browsed /b/, /v/ and /tv/ mostly. /r9k/ got made, waited two weeks for the hype of a new board to die down then browsed it ever since. Including all the various /r9k/ and chans while /r9k/ was down for a year.
