If autism affected more women than men would society give more of a damn about it? I feel like since its seen a guy's disease, autists are seen as disposable and easy targets for harassment. When was the last time you saw someone being made fun of for having a predominantly female illness?
it effects both sexes 50/50
its just that women get a lot more leeway and have leverage over the opposite sex......where as men don't.

My 5 year old daughter has severe autism, non verbal and still in diapers. It's always a huge shock to people when they realize she is autistic, as they've really never seen an autistic female before.

Autistic women are treated so much better, once I met a fellow autist and she began to complain about her loneliness because her most recent boyfriend had dumped her, which of course feels like shit, but many male autists have never had love once
