>i shall gain access to your door by the window
so the father was the autist in this scenario?
>>
>>28949042
The guy probably had severe problems like bullying, anxiety, depression, etc, and just wanted to escape from the outside world because he can't tolerate it and it makes his problems worse. Yet exhibit A: here we hear his normie parents basically abusing him for being too ill to be a normie.

This is legit why people kill themselves. Where is he even suppose to go? You can't throw a frog into boiling water and then expect it to swim. These parents are so horribly unequipped to deal with the situation it's unbelievable. It's like they probably watched him get worse from their horrible upbringing for years and now they're blaming him for it.

Just be glad that none of you here have parents this bad I guess ...
>>
Is this the "GET FUCKED DAD" euroshit again?

You make so many implications in your posts is incredible. I had shit parents too, and while I'm far from robot, I would not consider myself a normie either. I just refused to take shit other people threw at me, including my parents.

So you're an agoraphobic neet, anon?

If yes, how do you sustain neetdom?

Former wagecuck turned neet living on savings here.
>>
>>28950241
Not a neet anymore, but I did that for a couple years after high school. My family just kind of put up with it for the most part. I just helped around the house and did chores so I wouldn't be a complete waste of space. My dad would pester me about going to school and getting a job whenever I'd see him, but things never got that heated.

I'm lucky in that I have a supporting family I guess.

I could have written the same post. But I'd like to point out that we humans communicate mainly with words. When the words don't work, we have a problem. To me the first thing to make everything better is to work on communication.
>>
>>28950367
it was a literal trap, like once you go neet it's pretty hard to escape. I was a neet for a couple of years and while the first few months were great, you soon realize that you can't even leave your room or go out and do anything that isn't playing video games or watching anime, because literally everything in life takes money to do and when you are neet you have no money so you end up trapped in your room doing the same thing over and over every day. By the time you try to escape you have no way to do it, you have few if any non online friends to rely on, you have no experience and a huge gap in your resume, even if you wanted to go around applying for jobs you have no money for travel and no clothes for it, let alone the ability to talk to strangers, it's pretty bad.

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

>>
>>28950441
I agree with everything you said senpai. I think the worst part there is the job experience gap because you can't ever rely on others to build that up for you.

I had this delusion that if I become good enough with my hobbies I will eventually earn money with them while keeping my neet life so I trudged on that path till I realized I started on those hobbies too late and I didn't have the capital to become pro or semi pro at them.

You know what I hear? A fucking father that loves his son but his son being a fucking pussy about it.

His father is showing him attention. He is trying to solve the problems that exist. And what does Louie do? Sit there.
And his mum defends it. She insults the tough love. Well something has to give. The mother's way won't do anything.

He is sat there and what for? You can tell how much it is effecting them.

But that is that. On /r9k/ a robot will never fucking be to blame.

Yeah the dad is rash. Sure he is. But he is trying. And the only way he can do it at this point is to lash out. Get angry. Because the robot won't let him him.

Without strong father figure, it's possible for boy to grow up into responsible adult but it highly depends on his "willpower". One can remain NEET for 10+ years while another learn everything by himself.

Uhh, yes? That's exactly the problem, people with shitty parents becoming shitty parents themselves and raising shitty kids.

There are several disadvantages including worse ones than anyone here.

I just don't think you should blanketly declare the parents at fault. How do you know?

The dad is showing tough love but trying. I didn't even have parents to fucking do that for me. And he sits there. No conversation. Not trying to do anything. There is love there even if the kid doesn't think it. And he won't even ask for help.

>It isn't me, it is society.
Let us make an analysis. Are these two statements true? Sure, they could well be. We are a product of many things including our parents and the society we live in.

But more importantly, does focussing on these two things improve our life and the condition of it? You can blame society for the next decade and nothing will change.

I am not disputing the truth of things, I am disputing the value of them. What is the better course of action to take.

Proportioning blame is often like scapegoating others for your problems. Others might cause things but you are an active participant that has the ability to change things.

Change is not an easy process. It is difficult. It is tough. You will fall off the path but it isn't to live a life without mistakes but to learn to overcome them. If you continually blame others for all the misfortune you will go no where.

This is literally how NEETs are created. As a parent you have almost total control over everything your child does, from his daily activities to the food he consumes.

Its like being boxing trainer, except instead of training your fighter you let him do whatever the fuck and then get pissed off when he gets knocked the fuck out, becomes punch drunk, and can't win anything.

People need to learn that there are the real consequences for not taking your job as a parent seriously.

Your parents are not responsible for you after the age of 18, welcome to adulthood, child.
>>

>Your parents are not responsible for you after the age of 18, welcome to adulthood, child.
Legal responsibility is only relevant in a courtroom.
>>
>>28955967
>And who raised you to work hard?
No one, it is one of my characteristics.
>>
>>28955934
Sure. Absolutely.

But the truth is - many people with mental illness on /r9k/ could change. It is just problems of bad routine, self esteem, lack of socialising. Things build up - a week of bad sleep can wreck your mood.

I concede that those with more serious issues do certainely need help. The problem is, how many people have serious issues? For many it is the conditioning of their environment with the Internet that has caused these things and like any addiction it is tough but doable.

I find many people on /r9k/ with quite mild depression blame that for all their issues and again, use that as an excuse to not try to change.

Sure there are people who need help. The dad in the video even said he would get his son help. But the son said nothing. How can the father sort anything?

There are people with serious conditions that will stop any improvement. There is a greater proportion of them here than elsewhere. That still doesn't absolve the many of all their issues.
>>
>>28956002
>Legal responsibility
I'm not talking about that.
Once you're 18, you are an adult. You have your own life, and it comes with its own responsibility.
You chose not to work hard, and as such you are now suicidal and depressed with welfare being your only income.
I, on the other hand, worked hard and taught myself outside of school curriculum, and enjoy a nice salary and a job in a field I love.

I am not saying it was. I was saying that his dad is clearly not abusive when his only trump card is to say "no overwatch".

What other option is left to someone who won't even talk to him? Who acts like a toddler screaming when he oversteps a boundary?

Okay... this is a whole question for the whole thread:
How should the dad have acted? How? What should he do?

It seems like the mother was acting like you want him to act. Telling him to leave Louie alone as if that will help more than shouting at him.

What do you actually want him to say?

What does he say? I want to get you help. No response..

So he gets angry. Calms down the starts bargaining. He tried showing being supportive and got no where.

Louie is acting spoilt. Not abused.
>>
Hard working cyborg-normie hybrid here. Fuck smelly NEETs but the people defending the step dad have a serious bad judgement of character. He's obviously slightly tapped and likes to try push his weight around despite his cringey undertones. His whole approach was deranged and counterproductive.
>>
>>28956240
That's after the wife has won him over, it sounds like his taking the internet is a concession of a greater punishment.
Louie starts hyperventilating and whimpering before dad talks about taking his shit, he starts when it seems dad's going to break down his door.
His dad isn't evil, but I do think he lacks some fundamental and healthy tools for communicating, this is probably what genetically manifested as Louie's extreme avoidance.
Most of the avoidant young men within this generation have been trained to avoid aggression at any cost, within a modern and female-dominated school culture. These men would probably be much more socially active but also explosively violent if born 20+ years earlier.
>>
>>28956342

Causality is universal, meaning every event was caused entirely by previous events. Apply this to your own brain, and it's easy to see that the idea of "free" (un-caused) will is nonsensical.

Up until this points you know I agreed with all you faggots saying its his parents fault. Their arguing, grieving, generally disfunctioning, and then hes threatening to take away all his comforts, then he tells him how he knows this isn't him and he can be better. His dad only wants the best for him, he wants to see him happy, and he knows he can do it. This is the voice of someone who loves his child.

People have succeeded from far worse places, having people who give a shit about you no matter how dysfunctional you or they are doesn't matter. This is central core of the gf meme, you just want someone to give a shit. But if you have someone in your life who generally gives a shit and you can't get out of your own funk, you're a rat shit and it is your fault. Nut up, homestuck.
>>
>>28956240
>So everything is their fault?

Yes yes yes!

Even if I somehow got my life together and became a happy wage slaving normie, that doesn't change the fact that I had shitty parents. My parents should have never reproduced, this is not debatable.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not just sitting around all day blaming my mom for everything, I love her to death, and I forgive her because I understand why she made the mistakes that she did, but the simple truth is that we are the we are in large part to her incompetence as a parent. Only a fool couldn't see that.

I think that's why she lets me get away with being a NEET, she knows she fucked up and feels guilty. I wish I could just man up and make her proud, but I wasn't raised to be a man, I was raised to be a weak ass piece of shit.

>>
>>28956373
Well, it's fucking tricky in Britain.
The hyper-statist society is pretty keen on developing as much dependency within the mentally ill as possible.
Definitely talk with my wife and agree on a solution before confronting Louie, you don't want to weaponize the treatment of a sick person against their mother.
Probably establish a system where Louie can buy back his privileges by reaching realistic goals, but first you have to address physical health. He's probably delirious because of an insane diet and sleep schedule. Get all the garbage out of the house, start cooking very regulated meals, probably cut power off at a certain time to encourage the reparation of Louie's euclidean cycle. Something really important is joining Louie in these sacrifices, and letting him wean himself off of shit like the internet.

>passes by a bunch of white homeless people
Well that's a pretty interesting and unlikely phenomenon.
And I'm pretty sure they're also recording Hispanic (white) as just white, as well.
Truth be told, most of the homeless people near me are native american, I don't know why. They teach me Sioux if I give them beer or money though which is fun.

I never said it did.

Work hard and make a foundation. i didn't become self aware until 20. I had years of depression and no parents to help. Is it tough? Yes. Impossible? No.

this dude did not become like this overnight.

they fucked long time ago and time and time again. Just look at the screaming between the two parents. This has happended before. and my guess is, it happened all throughout his childhood.
A good psychologist will tell you you don't have to scream at the child to destroy his childhood. If the child is hearing the shouting, the breaking of plates and slamming of doors, the child is in fact taking part of the conflict, he is part of it. he will suffer the consequences. his developping brain will integrate all this mess.

Of course, this guy Louie will eventually have to let go of the illusion that he cannot change his life because of it. but it's hard to do. it's only human to be afraid to face your fears.
>>
>Parenting.

How should kids be raised /r9k/ oh great experts on parenting?

So take Loiue. Should he be banned from the Internet? Or given it unconditionally?

I bet some people in this thread had overbearing parents who micromanaged their lives. Discovered crap and ended up a robot.

I bet some other people in this thread had parents who didn't give a shit about their lives. So they discovered crap and became a robot.

For all you harping on about parenting, where is the universal way to prevent a robot? What should they do to Louie? Let us say you have a kid.. do you stop them going in their room playing videogames? Not having that crap could isolate them from their peers. Too much could fuck them over. Where is the balance?

Two parents (male and female) that love each other and have no mental problems themselves, who care about the future of their child.

It's not that hard.
>>
>>28957068

care about the kid's life. that's it.

care. not once it's too late and the child is locked up in his room because you ignored him, his feelings, his passions etc. if you don't fucking know your child you can't really blame the child for it.

so care for the child.

>this dude did not become like this overnight.
I know he didn't. Did you read my post? Of course this is a continuing thing/

But the screaming between the two parents is frustration born of it. You seem to think that the screaming ruined the kid. Did you listen to it? The same recording?

The father says... this is what you are doing to us. How can we help you if we aren't well? -They are trying but frustrated. You seem to think - they were shit parents and this happened. But it is clear they want to help but they are at odds on how to.

NO ONE IN THIS THREAD HAS SAID HOW HIS PARENTS COULD HELP LOUIE.

The mum wants to leave Louie alone. The father wants to help. He says it isn't normal and he can get help. Louie says nothing. Father gets angry and then frustrated. Then at the end he begins bargaining with Louie over the internet etc.

>>28957123
Do you think the sheer anguish of that father's voice is not about caring?? Of course he cares. Have some empathy. How he expresses it is full of passion. And sure, it may send the kid the wrong message but he was trying.

If the father didn't care, then why would he be beating at his son's door begging for him to come out?
>>
>>28957068
I'm not sure if it's all behavioral, some of it is probably genetic and societal.
I mean, we're kind of fucked, and in all probability if I have kids they'll die before forty as global resources dwindle and the tide of Islam washes over western society.
People do seem to be happier when they have a supportive family they actively contribute to, so I guess I'd give them meaningful tasks in the upkeep of the household. Kick them outside every once in a while, have them garden, find them some clubs and shit with kids with pertinent interests to their own, take passive things they enjoy, like cartoons or games, and try to funnel that passion into active hobbies, like drawing or programming.

>blacks and native Americans get tons if affirmative actions and welfare thrown their way for years and years and years giving them less incentive or need to work to live
>surprised when they take this opportunity and the lower end of their communities are just a large amount of homeless people

>lower-middle class whites get flooded with immigrants who live communally and therefore dirt cheap so they can send money back to their dirt poor families and can work for dirt cheap so outcompete whites
>thinks this won't have any adverse affect

>NO ONE IN THIS THREAD HAS SAID HOW HIS PARENTS COULD HELP LOUIE.
I did.
Attend to physical health, which will make him finally willing to emerge from his lair, and then start tackling his mental issues.
You simply dismissed me, but I understand that I could have been clearer and more in depth, so that's okay.

First mistake.

>the kids imitating him
>>
>>28957165
They should encourage him to seek help. Just standing at the door and screaming wont help.

I've been in Louies seat and my parents just screamed and screamed about how I had to do this and that. Didn't get better until I sought professional help myself. Going to a psychologist is quite frowned upon in Europe in my experience, atleast were I live

>Attend to physical health, which will make him finally willing to emerge from his lair, and then start tackling his mental issues.
How do they begin to attend to his health when he won't live his room in the first place?

He is between two extremes. A mum not doing enough and a dad trying too hard.

>>28957267
His dad talked about help and then got mad because there was no response...

>His dad talked about help and then got mad because there was no response...
If a person isn't responding, then there isn't a more likely chance they will respond just because you're screaming. Probably the opposite.
>>

The father is trying to guild trip the child.

you really think this is the best strategy? the father is in fact making shit worse. you can't make people wrong for being who they are. especially if you are supposed to be the provider of unconditional love in the kid's life. The father is wrong. He should shut up and come back when he is not all frustrated and angry, nothing good can come out of this scenario.
think about it, can you change a robot into a normie overnight? no. you can't. so don't put people on the spot like this. threatening, and guilt tripping is not the way to go if you really want to help.

you want to care, then embody it. guilt is guilt, it's not care. agression is not care. so yeah, the father wins 1 internet for trying but he is failing miserably.
>>
>>28957307
He'll eventually run out of dairymilk and pringles, and will have to leave his room, when he does all he'll find is real food. Turn off and lock down the fuse box at 10 each night, he'll eventually start sleeping at a normal hour out of boredom and physical cues.

>you really think this is the best strategy?
I never said it was the best strategy. What I said is the father is desperate and trying.

It shows he cares. And of course he will not change over night.

His father talks about getting him help. Sure he then guilt trips him. Gets mad. Bargains and makes mistakes.

It isn't the best strategy but it is one that shows he cares. Shows he is frustrated. And he gets no where.

Do you think that situation was born out of nothing? they probably have tried but it is going no where.

Agression can be care. It is passion. You don't get angry at things you have no mental or physical investment in. To do so would be ridiculous.

>NO ONE IN THIS THREAD HAS SAID HOW HIS PARENTS COULD HELP LOUIE.

The situation is fucked because they are all incompetent. The dad means well, but he isn't capable of anything but brute force.

Some people just aren't cut out for this shit. Society would improve so much if you had to get a license to have kids.
>>
>>28950556
easy to say if you've always had at least half-decent parents. Try parents that were so uncaring during your childhood that you end up a fucking schizoid.
