i have hair the same, looks fucking retarded unless I use certain hair products.
Try a combination of "Matte Uno" (black round tub thing) and v05 matt paste (long light blue tube). Also really fucking strong hairspray.
If you're anything like me your hair decides to stick straight up at a 90degree angle when it's too short as well -.-
