The only thing having 16 gigs of ram is good for is being a lazy nigger that doesn't manage his resources like a normal person. 8 gigs is fucking plenty. I don't keep 80 tabs on HD porn open while I play some shitty video games that uses 4 gigs of ram anyways. SSDs are really where it's at and I've been to cheap to buy one thus far.
