Why am I so tired and unmotivated? I'm always tired.

How do I get more energy?

Anyone else like this?
>>
What I'm about to say is incredibly cliche but it's honestly true

> exercise
> eat well
> maintain a healthy sleeping pattern
> get at least 20 minutes of sunlight a day
> keep your brain active by reading, writing and doing word puzzles

things like this help a lot. I don't follow them either but I know they help. I know how cliche it is but it's honestly true, hopelessness doesn't just fade over time.

Thanks. I've actually been following all of these steps. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle for a robot.

> exercise
pretty good about this. I can't go to the gym because of a bad back, but I still walk every day and do bodyweight exercises in the morning. I'm not perfect, but, pretty good.
> eat well
I eat very healthy and have been reading more about nutrition. Beginner here but I eat better than a lot of Amerifats and I'm thin. BMI is 21.
> maintain a healthy sleeping pattern
I go to bed and wake up same time every day. I do struggle with sleep but my patterns are very consistent. I have no friends so I continue to wake up same time even during the weekends
> get at least 20 minutes of sunlight a day
Live in Florida so almost impossible to not get that.
> keep your brain active by reading, writing and doing word puzzles
I'm an engineer.

Maybe I'm just a low energy person, to use Trump-terms?
I exercise, I eat well, not a fatass, I go to bed and wake up at

Yeah, I do struggle with depression. So that's probably why I'm tired?

That's pretty hard to fix for me....

Fuck I want off this ride.

I'm getting there. I really am. I'm 30 now, chronic back pain, never had a girlfriend, live at home, no friends, social anxiety like crazy... ex drug addict.

I have the gun, I have the cartridges. I'm very close. I keep thinking it might get better, but it doesn't. My back is better than last year, if I get pain free in a year maybe I won't kill myself. I'm hanging on because my dad is still alive and it would really hurt him if I killed myself.

The only reason I'm still alive.
>>
>>28931807
I have! I'm normal. I've had a full blood work up. Nothing wrong with me that comes up on those tests.

>>28931851
Unless things get much better I doubt I'll make it to 40. Dad will be dead and I'll have no one to talk to anymore.
>>
>>28931589
What the fuck? You're an engineer. Go buy something nice. Go to the beach. Go on vacation.
>>
I would recommend an adderall prescription, OP. Shit works wonders for the first year or so of taking it. Just do be careful not to take it every day.
>>
>>28932323
>>28932323
>What the fuck? You're an engineer. Go buy something nice.
I've bought stuff before and it doesn't really make me feel better. It used to when I was younger. Actually now that I have a lot of money I spend LESS than I did before. I did buy myself a nice car.

> Go to the beach.
Too many people, I get burned too fast, and I don't really swim very well. Also no friends.

> Go on vacation.
I used to like to travel but my back pain makes me nervous to travel on airplanes now.

>>28932358
I used to abuse adderall. It does help but honestly not really into drugs anymore - everything good that comes from them is fake and ends up ending badly over time because I can't maintain it. Adderall is the closest to being a normie I've ever felt though, so you are right there.

>>
OP being an oldfag have you ever tried acid?
>>
>>28932436
I don't have diabetes. I've had my blood tested for all kinds of things trying to figure it out. Nothing. All normal.

>>28932451
No, I only smoked pot and did some pills when I was younger. Always been to scared to do psychedelics.
>>
>too faded to brush your own FUCKING teeth

>>
>>28932469
Would recommend if you can get your hands on a tab or 2. I think I know almost exactly what you feel, and it helped for me. Just seeing a new outlook on everything, it practically gave me a new life.
>>
>>28932473
w-what? I brush my own teeth.

>>28932551
I'm too scared. Also don't know anyone who sells drugs anymore. I live in Miami and have no drug connections - that's how lonely I am. kek.
>>
>>28932408
Man, it sounds like you just need a new leaf of some sort. Perhaps you could move into a new building if you rent and meet some people your age. Meeting new people and getting that fresh perspective can change your outlook even if nothing changes about those other situations. I think that this is why the one anon mentioned taking acid. Triggers that fresh perspective. However, I will say that acid is probably riskier than the fresh start that I'm recommending you, but hey.
>>
>>28932568
Fear is the innate root of all of your apprehensions. What I'm saying is that if you're willing to take that first step, all the rest will come into place so much easier.
>>
>>28931589
>Struggle with depression
No. You're just an attention whore. Nobody "struggles" with depression and no one flaunts it around like the faggots on this board do.
>>
>>28932601
I own a house. But even when I lived in apartments I kept to myself. I think I give a off a vibe that I don't want to talk.

I agree, I just need a new direction or something - but, not sure what that would be. I think these long weekends really take their toll on me because I have too much time to think too.

>>28932611
Makes a lot of sense. I always play everything super safe. That's probably why I never ask girls out, etc. I actually asked two girls out this year though, one at a convention - a spokesmodel that hired by the company I work for. She was super friendly to me at the show and I thought kind of flirty, but, she played the "i'm sick" card twice when it came to a date so damn... then another girl but she lived in another city. Maybe eventually I'll met one.

So, I am trying to push myself, as hard as it is.

>>28931125
Do you take fish oil and vitamin D?
>>
>>28932774
No, but I wasn't Vitamin D deficit in my blood test. I also get sunlight since I live in Florida.

What's the benefits of fish oil?

lol wtf? If he feels tired all the time, he should first and foremost tell that problem to his doctor. Also, there are way better stimulants than LSD that are also safer.
>>
>>28932794
there is evidence it supports mood, I take them together and it seems to help. worth a shot maybe.
>>
>>28932849
I actually have seen doctors about it. I even went to a Sleep Medicine doctor. Got a sleep study to make sure it wasn't a physical sleep disorder. Got blood tests done. I'm normally in every way.

>>28932886
Thanks m8. You just order some off amazon? I'm up for trying it.
>>
>>28932903
Yeah sorry I just saw that post on the front page and rushed to post something in here.

OP, you need a new leaf of some kind. How many hours are you working a week? You could totally use your free time to set up some kind of hobby that would expose you to new people.
>>
>>28932903
yeah or any walmart or cvs has it
>>
>>28932972
No worries, appreciate people taking interest. Been a long term problem for me.

I work around 45-47 hours per week. 8 to 5-5:30 or so. With commute it is more like 7:30 to 6pm though. It's a long day, I come home exhausted.

I'm not sure what hobby I would do. I agree with you, but, just not sure what I'd do. I used to be into photography but with my back I can't really do that anymore - plus I just lost interest in it. I donno why but I can't get interested in anything lately.
>>
>>28933083
I'm going to try it. I'm for sure a skeptic but I'll try literally anything that might help. Even if it just helps a bit, that would be completely worth it.

No, neither interest me. I have a hard time getting interested in anything really. I used to get really interested in stuff when I was in high school and college - very passionate about a hobby. But, last 3-4 years I can barely pull myself out of bed, then I work, come home exhausted, maybe watch some TV and that's my day.

It sounds like you're in a monotonous funk. Honestly, I think you should just pick something even if it doesn't interest you. I understand that feeling and that is traditionally how I've handled it before.
>>
>>28933487
Thanks. I'll make it a goal to think of something and work toward it.

>>28933300
Another thing you can try is L-Theanine. I find that it dampens my personal anxieties to a significant degree. It won't make the situation better, but it might make it more bearable. I typically take one 250 mg pill of the stuff whenever I feel a big need to clear my head.
>>
>>28933533
Ah is that an branch chain amino acid or something? I'll check it out.

You are depressed.
I started taking medication about a month ago and I am feeling so much better. It may be a placebo effect though. I take 20 mg of Escitalopram.

Another thing that has helped me is going for daily walks. It's very hard to start but when you get into a routine after a few days it becomes easier.
>>
>>28935533
The meds really fucked me up. When I was in my early 20s I tried those, and, it worked for a bit but then I ended up feeling worse. Quitting them was horrible also.
>>
>>28931125
if you still care about having no energy then you're not as depressed as most of us
>>
>>28935792
That's a really optimistic way of looking at it, thank you.
