They usually just trick people who don't realize that parenthesis in PEDMAS only means inside, and that for example 3(6) counts as multiplication not parenthesis since they aren't both inside.
Or that multiplication and decision, and also subtraction and addition, both have the same priority and are solved from left to right despite one coming earlier in the acronym.
