Sup /r9k/? I'm thinking of going to Vegas for a few days to watch some boxing in July. Any tips on getting good deals? Any recommendations on where to stay? Any Vegas tales?

I went for my 21st birthday, brother paid for my trip to get me out of the house and try to normalize, I mostly just gambled and got really drunk.
Try to stay somewhere near the middle of the strip or else enjoy your long ass walks to get anywhere, unless you're getting a rental car then stay wherever but not the luxor (biggest dump in vegas)
Mexicans will try to give you little cards for escorts, they're fucking everywhere and even if you ignore them they will try to put the card into your hands as you walk by, walk with closed fists and don't make eye contact.
There are also aspiring rappers everywhere selling their garbage mixtapes, ignore them too but be prepared to be called a racist like i was, one time i finally gave in a bought one and the guy said "just give what you can my man" gave him 5 dollars and he went to his friends and yelled "YO THIS BITCH AS CRACKER GAVE ME 5 BUCKS FUCK OUTTA HERE"
You can get free drinks for gambling in any casino but good luck getting a waitress to notice you especially f you don't appear to be super rich, if can get one always ask for double shots because you probably wont see them again.
Club promoters will try to convince you to go to their club, just say you will and walk off, if you say no thanks they will accuse you of being gay.

I used to live in Vegas. Got arrested one night tripping my face off at the Luxor for pressing buttons on the slot machines when people were playing. Good times

They're not actually aspiring rappers, it's all a tourist trap they have in pretty much every city. My sister fell for them in New York so I had to bail her out by proxy.

I would never insert that cd onto my computer unless I was at a public library using their computers or at uni (at least mine does) since they deep freeze their software so I wouldnt worry to much. Point is I imagine that those cds are not actually mixtapes but a spyware or keylogger disguised as their music ... watch Mr. Robot and you will see

I've been to Vegas once in 2002 and again in 2003 so it's been awhile but it's pretty fun. You don't even have to enjoy gambling or strip clips. Just walk around and sight see and the hotels are pretty much attractions themselves. First time I stayed at MGM Grand and second time I stayed at Luxor. Both were great hotels, Luxor was cheaper and a better experience.

Vegas is nice to visit once to say you've been. There's not much there for robots. There's vices being peddled on every street corner at all times of day. It's clean and dirty at the same time like a cyberpunk dystopia. In the off season or near the weekends you can get cheap, cheap hotel rooms at the ends of the Strip, especially in the off season. Like $40 a night cheap. See show, go gokarting, do something fun but dont gamble -- house always wins. Also check out Hoover Damn.
I live in Europe but I've always wanted to visit Las Vegas and the Mojave desert after playing Fallout New Vegas.
use a vpn when getting airline ticket and hotel. it will make it cheaper because they wont know which city you are coming from. im robot rhat has inheritance and i do this to save money. inatead od nightwalks i go on flights. saves a ton of money. also originnnaaaallll
