Any other robots who aren't into anime?
I find it's too indirect, kind of like Japanese porn where half of it is groping and fondling. Western animation is more in-your-face and to-the-point. Characters' emotions are expressed instead of depicted through visual shorthand like sweat drops and popped veins.
I'm not into anime or western comics / animation because I'm not a manchild

I used to be kind of into it, watched subs when they came out and everything but I just lost interest. Only thing I really keep up with is One Piece and that's just the manga.

The difference between Japanese and Western animation is character and individuality. More specifically, western characters tend to focus more on personality and uniqueness while Japanese characters are all equally beautiful but nearly indistinguishable. There's a range for both but this applies for the average anime vs the average western cartoon.
Funny thing is, even though western characters are objectively less beautiful than anime ones, people still fetishize them a fuckton because they have a personality and feel alive. That should say something about physical beauty.
I hate modern anime.
Once it drifted into lazy, unshaded CGI bullshit I completely lost interest.
Give me the same animation of Goku powering up for 2 minutes straight or Berserk's still shots over some halfhearted, soulless animation made on a computer in a few hours.
