You dont have to do different exercises just because you're tall. As for weightloss and working out, i would do both at the same time. Cut out all sugars, candies, sodas, cakes whatever. And eat at a 500ish caloric deficit, AND work out. Because you're a beginner you'll see extremely fast progress in the gym while losing fat

shoot for 2750, as for reps and sets. Just do 4 sets of 5-10 reps on compounds like squats and benchpress. 1-2 sets of 5-7 on deadlifts and 4 sets 15 reps for concentration exercises such as arms.

Do NOT skip squats and deads if you're untrained, they provide an extremely valuable strength base, not to mention they pack on a lot muscle.

Try eating oats instead of granola, im not american but i believe granola is more sugarry. So it metabolises more quickly in your body and gives you a sugar rush rather than a longer lasting balanced blood sugar, which the oats would give you because they take longer to metabolize, maybe add some raisins or something to it.

Should i go more for traditional exercises like deadlift, squating, regular bench press or more "machinery" ones? As for legs, my favorite parts of body are legs so no skipping. Genetics, some people just wont have large arms, large calves, or wahtever. I have a pretty pathetic upperbody in comparison to my lower body. My ass, quads and hamstrings grow a lot but my upperbody cant really keep up. inb4 t-rex.
