How about NOT going to the dentist. I haven't been to a dentist in 35 years. All four of my wisdom teeth became impacted 20+ years ago and eventually broke into jagged shards, leaving the raw nerve exposed. The razor-sharp shards of tooth cut up my cheeks and tongue so that I have constant roving infections and abscesses. I've been in non-stop chronic pain for more than 20 years because I can't afford to visit the dentist. So yes, there's lots of things worse than seeing the dentist, you ungrateful swine.

Worst-case scenario, you could sterilize a needle/pocket knife (or other sharp, portable instrument) and cut through the gumline yourself to get to the tooth fragments. Just make sure to keep some cotton swabs and isopropyl alcohol nearby for the inevitable shitstorm of blood that will ensue
