here's the thing about video games- unless they're indie like undertale or cave story, they are controlled, and made, by corporations. corporations only purpose is to make money. whether they let the developers make a good game is up to luck and money. i've just seen too many games with "potential" turned to shit or be pushed out half-finished because of companies and their inherent need to make money. and so the companies stick with pushing out reliable money makers (asscreed, battlefield, call of duty, mario, etc etc) because, surprise, that's what makes money.
not to say that film industry doesn't have this problem, fucking over saturation of capeshit is going crazy.

You don't "grow out of", or "rise above" politics by being apathetic towards them, anon. And the reason why that's true is because someone, somewhere, is still going to be making money/policy/lawmaking decisions that affect your life, whether you abdicate interest in the process or not. You will still have these things imposed upon you, one way or the other, /however depressing you may find them to be/. But since politics will always be done to you in some way shape manner or form, especially , it's not something that you can overcome, surpass, get over, grow out of.
It (politics) is literally this normie social interaction among groups of humans, giving rise to a society that most people can stand to live in. It will always continue to move and churn and affect you, regardless of whether you can stand to engage with it or not.

You should realize that thousands of years ago there wasn't a government sticking it's sticky hands all over it telling people how to get married and to whom. I completely agree with your view on those. I used to be an obsessive nintendo fanboy. I didn't grow out of video games but I completely grew out of following modern systems and releases. This happened around when the 6th gen of pokemon came out and I realized it was crap, and started to get into romhacks and nuzlocke. (still autistic I know)
