When I was 17 my girlfriend was 20. The age gap was a little awkward at first but we got over it. It helped that she was a dropout, made things a little easier.

She's going to be a single mom. Women literally won't date down in age unless there's something horribly wrong.
Theoretically, yes.
It helps to be attractive though. If you're not physically attractive, a great personality can make up for it partially.
It's actually way easier to get women who are 35-40 once you hit your mid 20's though. But a woman 2-3 years older than you shouldn't be totally out of reach.
I wouldn't go for a woman JUST because she was older though. She has to have some good points beyond just being older because that's not really a good point (or necessarily a bad one--it's just an attribute).

Every woman who has ever been interested in me has been older than me, by six months to 20 years.
I've never had women younger than me ever show interest but lots of slightly older and significantly older women have.
