It's something about how painters manage to turn seemingly random blotches of paint into beautiful works of art that I don't get. Like I'll be watching a Bob Ross video and he'll have this ugly smear of paint on his canvas and I'll think "Shit, Bob, you fucked up!" but then two minutes later he manages to spin it into a beautiful tree or mountain and I'm left feeling stupid. I just can't think three steps ahead and visualize the finished product and work towards it when all I have are fucking nondescript blotches.
