Have you ever waved at a cat to greet them?

I always do when I come across one. I admit it's odd, but it feels...polite, even if it might lead to slightly embarrassing situations
>be me
>pass by neighborhood cat I often see
>stop to wave
>kitty looks quite magnificent in the sunlight
>decide to take pic for friend who's a big fan of black cats
>start digging in bag for phone
>look around while seeking phone
>see neighbor sitting in his car, staring at me
>walk away while still going through bag, as if nothing happened
>almost sure neighbor is the cat's owner

Now I have a feeling that if that cat were to disappear, the neighbor is going to come knock at my door...

Anyway, is greeting cats with a wave a thing or am I just weird?

I would always say hello cat if nobody else is around. But if other people are watching I would not.

Sorry anon, didn't mean to disappoint. I wasn't even trolling, even if the memegenerator file might indicate otherwise

Always. I would say things like 'what are you doing here?'.

This illustrates my lack of autism and being instinct-governed, which cripples my imagination problem-solving, and ability to help other people.

I usually wave at cats, I also wave at the big dog at the end of the street who's always outside on his own. He has no idea what I'm doing and he tilts his head sideways every time I do it

You think.
