>Practice that shit day and night and get pretty good and slight of hand tricks and cardistry
>Show off my skills to some lads at school
>Their initial amazement of the tricks eventually descends into hostility towards me for not revealing how I did them
>Get beat up and my book stolen
>Shitheads realize you actually have to practice to do any off the tricks so they rip up a bunch of pages and toss it in the trash making it unusable
>tfw never pick up magic again
>tfw haven't had a vested interest in a particular hobby or subject since then

OP you should realise that whole episode of jealous kids in school was just a part of the tale of your life. Take up magic again based on that whole experience alone.

I went full on passion-mode for filmmaking for a while but then I realised that to get anywhere I need to show people things I've made, and I'm too afraid of being judged poorly so I've basically given up
