Still can't stand ants, wasps, slugs or centipedes, though. Ants and wasps because of that weird biological imperialism that they have going on, slugs because they look like someone pooped out an organ and animated it, and centipedes because idk, they're just very scary. Spiders are somewhat frightening to me, too, but they can be cute sometimes.

But stickbugs and mantises are qt as fuck.

Crawfish usually refers to the smaller ones you eat with Cajun food. Crayfish are the bigger, more lobster-like ones you find in lakes. You're probably right, but thats how I was taught to differentiate them.
