Hello NEETS of /r9k/
As someone who is involved in a government agency that is responsible for overseeing the distribution of income based benefits to those who need it, I issue you the following warning:
In about 20 years, the United States of America will no longer be able to provide government based income assistance or "NEETbux" to all of you who do not work There is a serious and looming demographic problem regarding "baby boomers" leaving the workforce and beginning to collect Title XVI benefits. Title XVI (16) benefits are what retirees collect from the govenrnment after they retire. Under the ideal system of social security, the citizens who are actively employed and in the work force, pay into a massive nationwide retirement fund through deductions in their pay checks. The money in this fund is doled out to all retirees aged 65+ regardless of whether they have paid into the title XVI during their lives. This system acts like a pyramid where the younger workers act as a the base of pyramid and support the upper layers (retirees)
How does this affect NEETs?
Well many NEETS who are either living off of their parents, who are most likely "baby boomers", or receive "NEETbux" or "autismbux" from the government due to a disability (we call this Title II benefits) may see their benefits sharply cut in the future. There is already talk from policy makers about cutting Title II AND Title XVI in the first half of this century. Title XVI is over 90% of all the funds in the government's "bux bank"
2 very bad things are aiding to the inevitable foreclosure of the government's "bux bank":
1) The pyramid discussed above is about to be flipped upside down
2) The federal government has been taking large amounts of money out of its "bux bank" to fund the rise in subsidized income based social programs we have seen under the previous 3 presidents. This trend will continue if Hillary or Bernie is elected
>TLDR: you have 15 years to find a job before the system crashes
