last october someone posted a "your roll is your pushups" thread and I figured why not I'll just do the last digit instead of the two. I couldn't do it. after not having any physical excercise for nearly 3 years I couldn't do more than 4 push ups.

I felt terrible so I decided to start doing the simplest stuff at home, pushups, curls, squats etc. whatever possible with near to no resources. it felt good so I stuck with it. some time in january I felt like my progress was coming to a halt so I got a real gym card.

today for the first time I succesfully to bench pressed 5x5x100kg (220lbs).

the reason I'm posting this story is to thank whoever shitposter started that thread for the wake up call and to say you too can do it.

it feels real good to set goals and reach them, even if they are completely arbitrary like the amount of metal you can lift up and down. you too can start TODAY (or tomorrow..). there's no such thing as "too far gone".

yeah the wrist pain is a bitch. it was one of the main reasons I switched to a real gym. I never do push ups anymore because they strain my wrists more than they do muscles.

I was able to find a pretty nice deal 20e a month. even a neet can find 20e a month for anything. the increase in food intake and the kind of food that you want to eat while training is more expensive than the actual gym tbqh.
