Average income would be somewhere around $55k a year, so by rules of standard deviation a normal person would make somewhere between $38k and $78k a year. I have it saved somewhere but I haven't pruned my bookmarks in an age and a half so I can't produce it at the moment.
Generally, if you want to ask how to improve yourself then you should ask other, more topic relevant, boards for advice. /r9k/ is good for advice for basic interaction and that's about it, even then the stuff you see here is questionable at the best of times.

What kind of shit are you doing? My first job paid $10/hr. There was mandatory overtime but the warehouse work was easy and that brought in $2400 a month before taxes. Can't remember how much after taxes but it was more than I needed because I only play vidya and buy food plus insurance bills. Just get a factory/warehouse job. The jobs are shitty and horribly monotonous but they are not difficult or stressful, just really dull and repetitive. Almost all of them will pay $10/hr minimum.

If you are good at taking tests you can enlist and get almost any job you want if you do well enough on the ASVAB. Like for example air traffic controllers can make six figures as civilians, and you can get paid to learn how to become one. Do your 4 years, get some training and experience, get out, even use that GI bill too if you want.
