It's unlikely that you'll get over it but if you wait a few years it will seem like less of a problem.
Nowadays I still get anxious of course but I don't really care.

mine periods of intense anxiety usually don't last too long now days deep breathing helps stop you falling into an anxiety attack, and a beer or 2 before bed helps ALOT during those intense times
