Because the point of messaging like that is that I can reply at my convenience. If they had something they REALLY had to say to me, they would show up in person, or call me. If they are messaging me on a site that I might not have open at that moment or might not go on at all that day and then get assblasted that "I ignored them :(" then they need to grow a pair.
