I can't seem to play video games anymore. After 30, I just sort of lost interest in them. I might still play Pillars of Eternity because I hear it's a throwback to Baldur's Gate, but very rarely do I pick up a game anymore. Too bad, because they used to be one of my favorite things to do.

I'm 20 right now and the only vidya I'm currently playing is sometimes league with my friends (like once a month) and Stellaris
Life is strange was interesting, it was a pretty novel idea and was executed quite well, but was certainly less of a game and more of an "interactive story" a la the walking dead.
The tumblr-yness can be ignored, but the thing that really irked me is the dialogue. Seriously, any dialogue between kids in that film sounds like it was put together by a committee of old businessmen frantically brainstorming on all the hip new lingo the kids are using these days. It would randomly flip from 2005 era myspace sayings that no one under 18 has ever heard to modern reddit meme slang. It was disconcerting as fuck.

I thought the dialogue was kind of endearing at time and cringey at others. There's certainly a bit of a tumblr vibe to it but it isn't overwhelming. I agree that it's more of a interactive story than an actual game though.

That's a tough one. The Dark Souls, especially I, series I like, the sad feeling after seeing Solaire die by my on hand was something I never forget. The puzzling of the lore together with the difficulty made a great game.
But Metal Gear Solid III had a great story with that tingling down your spine if you go stealth is great.
I'd say Metal Gear Solid III is my favorite.

Not in any particular order. I'm 21 if anyone wanted to speculate based off the games I listed. My parents didn't buy me video games when I was younger, which is why listed mostly modern games. I did play tons of SNES games on an emulator.
Trials Evolution. For such a simple concept of a skill game, it's incredibly addicting. It's been one of the only games I've played for 4 years, and I've cracked the trigger in half on three different controllers now because of it.
