I think I was still a teenager when I realized it. I wasn't full normie in HS, but I was in band and most other musicians were nearly as socially impaired as I was, so it was kind of like being a normie.
Then I left HS and discovered that normal society was vastly different, and I was continually unable to adjust and fit in. It's only gone downhill from there, add a few deaths in the family and friend circle and a healthy yearlong planning-to-kill-myself arc and you've got me right now.
