What about people who kill religiously? Or the people so obsessed with martyrdom that they killed themselves? They may have done sin, but they sinned for the greater good (well, maybe not the suicide martyrs), I believe that's what Elliott did as well. He sinned to try and save the world, the robots, but alas, did it do anything?
