is it worth starting smoking?
i know the 'high' goes away after a while and its just addiction.
what else are the effects?, will it help me socialize slightly better like alcohol or something?

To me, smoking makes me feel slightly relaxed for about 5 mins.
Doesn't help me with anything at all except for taking a shit.

what did it feel like at first when you started?

Just got a bit light-headed.
That's about it really.
Also, I've been smoking for about 2 years or something, and I've never in my life felt cravings or anything like that.
I feel as if I could just stop smoking anytime I want to.
I'm having a hard time believing the nicotine-addiction meme
its not worth it unless you do it with another drug (like opiates). With opiates its a mind blowing feeling but if you aren't taking those already I wouldn't recommend starting.

No, but the two go hand in hand...Go to a bar, get drunk, go outside to the smoking area and you're 80% likely to talk to other smokers out there.

it's trying to resists tempation that people have a problem with. if its not around you, its a not a bid deal to you. when it's in your face, than the cravings and the delusions happen.
It's the most useless thing ever and i'm a smoker.

Got to know a lot of people while smoking infront of the door. Pretty easy.
