Try harder then. Because that's really all you can do. PIck up the passions and spirits and throw them all into something. So long as you've done your very best, I don't think you can be disappointed, and no one will have a right to be disappointed in you. Perhaps you should think smarter too. It means nothing to try hard if you're misdirecting your efforts. Don't worry too much about the things you can't control.

I was beginning to be wholly happy some with my ex, not like elated but comfortable/content and looking forward to things
Then soon after she left unexpectedly and I'm only really able to enjoy things when I drink. That's nothing new but I miss being able to be content and sober
On top of it my few friends seem to be drifting away
