A cancer patient is in extreme pain and will eventually die but doesn't want to feel the pain anymore. They rationally decide they will euthanize themselves.

Consent is a pillar of humanism, when you strip away the angst and impulsion, suicide is just someone consenting to die. I don't think people should make the move without being informed and sound of mind, but I definitely think it is better for a person to die because they choose to do so.
The world is facing overpopulation, a cultural acceptance of suicide is one of the most humane ways to approach that problem.
So many mental and physical illnesses are incurable, it's honestly barbaric to expect schizophrenics and arthritics to grin and bear it just so they can churn out labor and successive equally diseased generations.

Some people will pull Camus's absurdism as THE one explanation why suicide is illogical, but people often forget that behind the philosophy there's a philosopher, a man that lived and forged his ideas through experience.
Camus was born in post-war France, he was an attractive, well-fed and intelligent man, that didn't have much competition in philosophy and other areas in his lofe, he usually had 3 girlfriends at any given time and he was able to enjoy life from a "priviledged" position. Basically what i'm trying to say is that Camus was a high-tier man born in a tije with very few men around him, so he enjoyed life like Chads enjoy it. His theory that suicide is illogical seems biased based on his life.
Because as much as I want to I havent. It's not the want that matters, its the action or inaction.
